My name is Juli, and I am a 26 year old wife and mother. I was born in Bogota, Colombia but I'm currently living in Miami, FL. Aside from wirting on my blog I am a writer & videographer for Motherly. You can read more of my articles here.
In 2013 I married my best friend and love of my life Duce Williams.
And in August of 2015 we welcomed our first child, Mia Sky.

What camera do you use and who takes your photos?
I currently use a Canon EOS 60D with a 50mm & 40mm lens. I take my own photos 80% of the time, I have mastered the timer and tripod technique. Other than that my husband takes my photos or unless stated otherwise.
What does your husband do?
My husband is a musician and songwriter you can hear more of his music HERE.
What is it like to be in an interracial marriage?
There are cultural differences we have to communicate and work through, however we do have a lot of similar family values we both grew up with which have made our relationship stronger and easier to manage through. We also have a lot in common as individuals which has helped us form a strong friendship. We have become each others best friends as well as husband and wife. But in our core and above anything else, we both believe in God and are passionate about loving Jesus and loving each other. And that has resulted in a strong marriage despite our differences.
Why did you decide to start a blog?
I started my blog out of a need to have a creative outlet and also because I believe as women and mothers, there is a need to relate and create community. I believe that by sharing one's experience you can create a strong bond with anyone, without even having met them in person.
What are some of your favorite stores?
I love Free People, Nasty Gal & H&M. And I'm always looking for other awesome brands, so recommendations are always welcomed.
Do you straighten your hair every day?
No. My hair is naturally straight. It is actually very VERY difficult to curl my hair, therefore, most of the time I just leave it alone.
